Faux Laser Cut Cards from OCC

Friends,

I took the plunge signed up for the Holiday Card Workshop 2022 from Online Card Classes. I've done a couple of their classes before, but the timing has never been right to do it as the classes were being released. It's terrible timing right now, if I'm honest (fall term for college instructors is brutal!), but I couldn't resist.

A Little Forest Scene

Card Size: A2

Don't tell the papers I meant to grade this afternoon, but I made this card when I needed a breather. I had a couple extra pink blended panels, and I love how this turned out. It came together pretty quickly!

Lacy Christmas Card

Card Size: A2

The technique is a faux laser cut look, and this die is really made for this. It felt like cheating. Jennifer McGuire taught ways to get this look without a die like this, but I decided to start easy.

I ink blended the pink background piece for an ombre look and sprayed the white piece with my all time favorite shimmer spray from Altenew. It's iridescent and super shimmery.
