Magic Fold, Snow Globe, Shaker Card

I’m obsessed with Craft Roulette.

It gives me so many rule/parameters that I end up with cards that are super extra. That’s me, super extra….JK I only do my hair and makeup for work, but I’m happy to be extra as a paper engineer.

This particular card was a journey for sure. @MaryGunnFunn messaged and asked if I would do a process video for one of my Craft Roulette cards, I and took on the challenge joyfully. Six days of card-making, and 4 hours of content later, I’m thinking I should maybe have started by remaking something instead of trying to capture my creative process over the course of the week and then editing it down to 24 minutes.

Project: Fancy Fold

Colors: Dusty Hues

Element: Starts with "D"

Random: Pennants

This card was so fun, I'm working a fall-themed card next. I'll update when it's done, and show you how I did the magnet differently.

Measurements

Card Base: 4.25 x 11"

  • Score at 3 inches and just shy of 5.5 inches (note, I recommend leaving a larger "spine" in the card. You may be better off scoring at 5 3/8"

  • Turn the base 180 degrees

  • Repeat scoring at 3 and 5.5 inches (or 5 3/8")

Snow Globe Holder Inside of Card: 4.25 x 7"

  • Score at 2 3/8, 3.5, and 4 5/8 (The video has the last measurement wrong. 4 5/8s is correct. Sorry for the confusion!)

Front of Card:

  • Patterned paper for bottom measuring 3 x 4.25

  • Patterned paper for top measuring 1 9/16 x 4.25

  • Sentiment Strip

    • Pink Sentiment Strip 3/4 x 4.25

    • Black Mat Layer 7/8 x 4.25

Inside of Card:

  • Pink Cardstock with Pennants: 4 1/16 x 2 3/16

  • Gray Cardstock with Secret Message: 5 1/4 x 4 1/8
